Think advertising, the forum will languish pretty much unused unless we are proactive in advertising its existance. If we do nothing we may get around 25 members, do some advertising and we may end up with several hundred.

The only way to find this forum, currently, is by following the website link. I don't think this is enough to make the forum a vibrant place to visit.

Regards

Andrew

You got me because I'd heard about a Solent in New Zealand. I then told my pal in NZ (Percy) and now you have him, too. We're both refugees from naafirejects.com - a largely ex-RAF site which may well prove fertile ground for recruits. Have to be realistic though, Poole Flying Boats is a pretty narrow field and it might be hard to swell the ranks.

Hi and welcome Barrie and Percy.

Yes it is a narrow field but flying boats from Poole were very active during WW11.

Imperial Airways moved to Poole and was renamed BOAC and later British Airways.

Poole Flying Boats Celebration also has an interest in all flying boats and their supporting personnel.
